Our Dentists

Dr. Cam Roberts

Dr. Cam Roberts grew up in the Eastview neighborhood of Saskatoon and it still feels like home to him. After graduating high school, he attended the U of S and graduated with his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree, with distinction in 1988. He joined McEown Avenue Dental Clinic in 1990 and enjoys practising all aspects of dentistry.

Cam’s calm and relaxed personality puts his patients of all ages at ease. He believes in providing quality, conservative, preventive dentistry in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Treatment options are discussed and explained so you can make an informed decision on your dental treatment. He recognizes that treating patients like family and friends provides the greatest outcome for his patients.

Cam has given back to the U of S by being a Clinical Instructor for many years, served as chair of the Saskatoon Mediation Committee, was inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy in 2012 and currently serves as an examiner with the NDEB (National Dental Examining Board). When Cam is not at work you can find him helping his kids on their nearby farm, reffing volleyball and enjoying time with his family.

Dr. Eric Granberg

Dr. Eric Granberg received his DMD here in Saskatoon.  He has been a part-time faculty member at the College of Dentistry in various specialties and practices all aspects of dentistry with an interest in larger prosthodontic (implants, crowns, bridges and fillings) and esthetic treatments.

“I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to provide dental care to people from all walks of life.  I enjoy people and their stories, this is why I chose a “people profession”.

I would say that my primary goal with patients is to help them understand their mouths.  I hope that by building a relationship with them I can help patients enjoy the benefits of good oral health throughout their lives.  Whether their goals be simply “keeping their teeth” or looking at options to achieve that perfect smile.  I look at function first, but certainly enjoy getting great esthetic results too.

One of the reasons I enjoy being a dentist is the preventative nature of our profession.  I am certainly happy when I get to tell someone they have a healthy mouth and we don’t need to do anything other than maintenance.  However, for those patients who have struggled with dental decay and the challenges of dental disease, I particularly enjoy the challenge of getting them comfortable, fixing their problems  and building that relationship through which they can understand how to care for their mouths.

Outside of the office I try to shut off electronics, get outside and stay active to shake off the work week.  I grew up in Northeast Saskatchewan and I love escaping to the trees when I can.  I truly enjoy our great province and I enjoy every season for whatever it has to offer.  I have a busy growing family that keeps me moving.  I am truly happy to raise a family in our great province and country.

Dr. Brendon Gryba

Dr. Brendon Gryba was born and raised in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. After graduating from Bishop Mahoney High School, Brendon attended the University of Saskatchewan to study undergraduate biomedical sciences, and later completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2015. During his time in university, Brendon was a member of the Saskatoon Hilltops from 2008 until 2012, winning national championships in the years 2010, 2011, and 2012. He was also a member of the Huskie Canada West Track and Field team from 2008 until 2011.

Brendon first started working at McEown Avenue Dental In 2014 for a temporary work placement. He became a regular at the practice in 2015 and was thrilled to be able to work with and learn from his father, Dr. Mark Gryba, eventually purchasing his practice in 2019. Outside of his practice at McEown, Brendon has spent time as a part time faculty member at the College of Dentistry in the discipline of Fixed Prosthodontics. Brendon has also spent lots of time doing outreach dental work in a community clinic in the core neighbourhood of Saskatoon. This experience has allowed him to gain further understanding into working with addictions, and a greater interest in the surgical aspect of dentistry. While focusing on an overall preventive and functional approach to dentistry, Brendon practices all aspects of dentistry with a greater interest in surgical extractions, laser dentistry, fixed prosthodontics, and clear aligner orthodontic therapy.

When not at work, Brendon likes to stay active and keeps busy travelling the world with his wife Kristen, and spending time at home relaxing with their young daughter Amelia and two dogs. Brendon maintains an active involvement in the sporting community as a Director for the Saskatoon Hilltops Football Club, as well as participating in recreation sports leagues such as touch and flag football, and senior men’s basketball. Dr. Gryba is the official dentist and oral health therapy sponsor for both the Saskatoon Hilltops Football Club and Saskatoon Minor Football. In the summer you can most commonly find Brendon spending time working in the yard or enjoying a round of golf!

Dr. Mark Gryba

Dr. Mark Gryba was born in Saskatoon but spent his elementary and high school years in Cudworth, SK. He returned to Saskatoon to attend the University of Saskatchewan and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1978, graduating with distinction. After his graduation, he joined Dr. Joe Cunningham and Dr. Don Clements at McEown Avenue Dental Clinic and has served our community in his practice of general family dentistry there for over 40 years.

During his career in dentistry, Mark has practiced dentistry with a patient-centred approach, stressing prevention and maintenance of function for a lifetime. Although he has practiced all aspects of general dentistry, he has always had a particular interest in major restorative work – crowns, bridges and implants. Mark has spent many years as a part-time clinical instructor at the College of Dentistry and has also served on committees for the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Mark is a firm believer in giving back to his community as well – he has been an active member (and past president) of the Rotary Club of Saskatoon for over 25 years, as well as supporting the arts in the city, including Persephone Theatre, the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra and the Saskatoon Jazz Society.

Although Mark had the pleasure of seeing his son, Brendon, take over his dental practice in 2019, he still enjoys working a reduced schedule at the clinic. But this schedule also allows him much more time to pursue his other interests – travel, music, bridge, golf and time with his family.
